Chiropractic at Vibrant Life Health Center is not a single technique or adjustment style. It is a focused approach to the cause of your individual problem that is eliciting the symptoms that you have. Many times addressing just the Musculoskeletal system resolves those issues; however, our expertise allows us to also look at other systems within your body associated with your problem the cellular, facial, muscular, tendinous, ligamentous, lymphatic, and other systems that when not addressed add to recovery times and can inhibit resolution of your problem. At Vibrant Life Health Center we address each of these elements to SHIFT your health adding vibrance and vitality so the rest of your days are the best of your days! Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired? Have You been “just dealing with it?” It’s time to come to the expertise of Vibrant Life Health Center where we offer the following Chiropractic techniques of Chiropractic Care:

Cox® Technique
Cox® Technic is a non-surgical, doctor-controlled, hands on spinal manipulation performed with the patient lying on The Cox® Table. The table permits the effective administration of flexion-distraction and decompression adjustment and manipulation. The goal of Cox® Technic is to help the spinal pain patient go from “pain” to “no pain” as quickly as possible.?Well-researched and documented, flexion-distraction and decompression helps relieve spinal pain and return patients to their desired quality of life by:

  • Reducing internal disc pressure
  • Widening the spinal canal area
  • Opening the space for nerve roots
  • Reducing pressure on the spinal nerves
  • Returning motion to all the spinal joints

Extremities Techniques
Chiropractic means so much more than a straight, healthy spine. It also means optimum extremity function and performance, balance, energy, pain reduction/elimination, nutrition, brain and organ function, muscle performance and development, and much more.

A Chiropractor that ca diagnose, and treat root causes to recurring pain in the spine AND extremities. He/she is equipped to successfully treat TMJ, Shoulder Girdle Syndromes, Tennis Elbow, Carpal Tunnel, Knee Subluxations, Baker’s Cysts, Sprained Ankles, Shin Splints, Foot and Gait mechanics, misaligned hips, and leg length issues.

Thompson Technique

The Thompson Technique utilizes a “Segmental Drop Table” to enhance the motion force imparted towards the segment or area to be Adjusted. Dr. Thompson introduced the concept of adding motion by inventing a headpiece that would drop away as the adjustive thrust was applied to the vertebral segment. The “Segmental Drop System” takes advantage of the spine’s inherent design of the joints in order to move the spinal segment in the direction that will improve the motion of the segment with the one above and below. It just makes good sense that since the spinal joints face front to back and have an incline that slopes more naturally backwards that we can effect increased motion by applying an adjustment from P to A, (Posterior to Anterior) and with an inferior to superior line of correction. Thompson Technique allows the practitioner to elicit adjustment into segmental areas of your spine without introducing high forces which allows us to address sensitive areas with effective and gentle care.

Activator
After 35 years of study and 15 years of clinical research, there evolved a technique based on low force and high speed activation of the skeletal structure which incorporated the latest advances in orthopedic, neurological, and chiropractic science. The activator method has grown to be the most widely used “low force” technique in chiropractic. This specific system of adjusting restores proper balance, and does it with improved safety and comfort.

Activator technique utilizes a small spring-loaded adjusting instrument to deliver a focused corrective impulse into the dysfunctional spinal segment. This technique is most commonly used in patients who prefer a low-force correction without the traditional “hands-on” thrust.

Diversified Technique
Diversified technique is the most commonly used adjustment technique by chiropractors.Like many chiropractic and osteopathic manipulative techniques, Diversified is characterized by a high-velocity, low-amplitude thrust. Diversified is considered the most generic chiropractic manipulative technique and is differentiated from other techniques in that its objective is to restore proper movement and alignment of spine and joint dysfunction.

FAKTR
FAKTR (pronounced “factor”) is a revolutionary way to treat soft tissue problems. It is effective for many conditions, ranging from headaches, back pain, shoulder problems, pain in the elbows, feet…just about any body part. Injuries can be caused by over use, falls, auto accidents, sports injuries, work related injuries and can have bothered you for a long time, or be a new condition. Most of these problems can be resolved within a few treatments.

Neuromuscular Re-Education
Neuromuscular Reeducationsm is a “stand-alone” hands-on technique/approach to the evaluation and functional treatment of 90+% of the soft tissue injuries a professional will see in practice. Every muscle in the body is surrounded by a smooth fascial sheath, every muscular fascicule and fibril are surrounded by fascia that can exert pressures of over 2,000 pound per square inch. When an area is injured, whether it’s muscle, connective tissue, fascia, tendon or some combination of these elements (as most injuries are), the body handles this inflammatory response of the tissues to trauma the only way it knows how, through a hyperplasia of the affected tissue followed by a fibrous healing, the laying down of a less elastic, second grade, poorly vascularized scar tissue to protect the involved areas. Adhesions occur wherever damage and inflammation have occurred and they limit both strength and range of motion.

Electrical Stimulation Therapy
Electrical stimulation uses an electrical current to cause a single muscle or a group of muscles to contract. By placing electrodes on the skin in various locations the physical therapist can recruit the appropriate muscle fibers. Contracting the muscle via electrical stimulation helps strengthen the affected muscle. The physical therapist can change the current setting to allow for a forceful or gentle muscle contraction. Along with increasing muscle strength, the contraction of the muscle also promotes blood supply to the area that assists in healing. Vibrant Life Health Center utilizes the following applications:

  • Inferential E-Stem
  • Premod E-Stem
  • Russian E-Stem
  • Micro Current
  • Ultra Sound
  • High Volt Galvanic

Active Tissue Therapy

Utilizing the ability to apply tension to injured tissue while it is in active motion allows us to breakdown scar tissue and address the inured response of supportive facial, muscular, vascular, and other tissues increasing healing, function, and strength.

Adhesion Breakers

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization Instruments (IASTM) have been used for centuries in Chinese medicine, and have been further developed and improved in recent years by Adhesion Breakers, Graston Technique, Miyodac tools, Sound Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (SASTM) and FAKTR tools. Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization Instruments (IASTM) are specifically designed to be used in adjunction with other modalities to increase the effectiveness of the soft tissue work being performed by helping to correct the adhesions and scar tissue that form due to injury and inflammation which occurs during injuries, surgeries, overuse, and underuse conditions, by increasing tissue elasticity and fibroblastic activity to return the muscles and surrounding tissues to as close to pre-injury status as possible. This is accomplished by initiating a controlled inflammatory process which will allow the tissue to begin the healing process, breaking down scar tissue and adhesions in the tissue and redirecting collagen formation in the proper orientation for correct movement of muscles and tissues.

Kinesio-taping

Kinesio Tape has been in existence for over 25 years. When it is adhered to the skin, it lifts the tissue away from the injured area and fascia, allowing blood to flow properly and alleviating swelling, thus promoting healing. There are numerous specified taping techniques used to facilitate the healing process.

quoteI’m a big proponent of chiropractic but what I want to tell you today is how special and different     Dr. Jon is from other Chiropractors! His exam is extremely comprehensive. Above and beyond other chiropractors I have used. When I walked in I had very specific pains and when I walked out they were gone! I’m a patient for Life!"
